Material Use

Most materials used in this process fall in the category of thermoplastics. According to MAS, thermoplastics have a ranking of 80 percent. This numerical ranking indicates the convenience and suitability of thermoplastics in the SLS process.

A variety of materials can be used, including polymers (ABS, PVC, nylon, polyester, polystyrene, epoxy), wax, metals, and ceramics with appropriate binders.
